Immunizations – Old Bridge, NJThe Wellness Center Pharmacy & Surgical in Old Bridge, New Jersey, your one-stop-shop for all your healthcare needs, is the only specialty pharmacy in the Old Bridge, New Jersey area to provide immunizations for you and your family on a daily basis.

Our goal at The Wellness Center is to become your primary source for vaccine information, education and administration. Our immunizing pharmacists have completed a special training program and are certified by the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) to administer a variety of immunizations right in our store.

Some immunizations may be billed to Medicare or your insurance plan. If your insurance plan does not cover the cost of the vaccine, you may pay with cash or a credit card.

We have the H1N1 swine flu vaccine, as well as the seasonal influenza and pneumonia vaccines. Influenza and H1N1 vaccines cost $35, while pneumonia vaccines are $45.

If you have Medicare Part B and are not a member of an HMO, your flu and pneumonia shots will be free if you present your Medicare card at the time of your shot.. <link to Request a Consultation/Appointment page> We also welcome walk-ins.

The following immunizations are available at The Wellness Center Pharmacy & Surgical:

H1N1 (Swine Flu)
Recommended for pregnant women, children between 6 months and 4 years of age, anyone in a household who has contact with kids younger than 6 months old, health-care workers who have direct patient contact and all kids ages 5 to 18 who have underlying medical problems.

Hepatitis A
Recommended for adults at high risk for contracting hepatitis A, including those who travel outside the U.S. and persons with chronic liver disease.

Hepatitis B
Recommended for adults at high risk for contracting hepatitis B, including those who may be exposed to blood products or body fluids.

Human Papillomavirus - HPV (Cervical Cancer)
Recommended for all young women ages 9 to 26.

Influenza
Recommended for adults 50 years of age and older and for anyone seeking protection from the flu.

Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR)
Recommended for adults born during or after 1957 who have not yet received the vaccine.

Pneumococcal (Pneumonia)
Recommended for adults over 65 years of age.

Shingles (Herpes Zoster)
Recommended for adults over 60 years of age.

Tetanus/Diptheria
All adults need a booster dose every 10 years.

Tetanus/Diptheria/Pertussis vaccine (Tdap)
Some adults should receive a tetanus booster dose that also includes protection against pertussis (whooping cough), including those with close contact to infants less than a year old.

Varicella (Chickenpox)
Unvaccinated adults who have not had chickenpox.

Japanese Encephalitis
Recommended for travelers with extensive outdoor exposure to mosquitos in rural areas of countries such as China, Japan, India, Korea, and eastern Russia.

Polio
Recommended for people traveling to areas where polio is common such as Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

Rabies
Recommended for people who might come in contact with canine or wild animals while traveling to all continents except Antarctica.

Typhoid Fever
Recommended for travelers who may consume contaminated food or water in areas where typhoid is common such as Asia, Africa, Central and South America.

Yellow Fever
Vaccination is required for travelers entering into some countries in sub-Saharan Africa and tropical South America.
